Norma Blacksmith was born and raised in the heart of Oglala, South Dakota—a place that shaped her spirit and grounded her in deep community roots. After graduating from OCS, she married Aloysious Dreamer Sr., and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and family. Norma was the proud mother of six sons, each a reflection of her strength, grace, and unwavering devotion.
She spent 25 years in Denver, Colorado, where her journey took a transformative turn. Norma gave her life to Christ and faithfully served Him for over 40 years, becoming a beacon of prayer, encouragement, and spiritual leadership. She founded a prayer group called Mountain Movers, a name that perfectly captured her belief in the power of faith to overcome any obstacle.
Norma’s heart remained tethered to her homeland, and she played a vital role in forming a Board that helped establish a House of Prayer on the Pine Ridge Reservation—a sacred space where others could encounter the same hope and healing she had found.
On September 26, 2023, Norma went home to be with the Lord. Though her physical presence is deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched. Her family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ carry her memory with love, gratitude, and the quiet strength she modeled so beautifully.
